Bottle. Mitchell’s Wines, Sheffield. Deep, clear, cola brown. Head fully dissipates. Nose has cherry chocolate truffle. Steeped vine fruit. Hint of clove and cinnamon. Touch of anise. Taste is vinous and sweet. Some light roast bitterness. Medium body. Pretty smooth and slick on the palate. Low carbonation. Light fruity bitterness to finish. Enjoyed this way more than I expected to.

Cask half-pint, hand-pulled at The Bailey Head, Oswestry Shropshire on 27th Nov 2018. Black bodied with a good level blanket of tanned foam. Malty molasses rule the nose and taste, sweet and interesting with some light Christmas spiciness in both the aroma and flavour. Nice.
