7th July 2018, The Boars Head, Bishops Castle; cask half-pint, gravity pour. Golden bodied, white crown on top. Light citrus leanings in both the nose and taste, a subtle flavoured beer and pretty forgettable.

Cask at Kay’s Bar, Edinburgh. Light gold and crystal clear. A small and foamy white head rests on top. Sulphur and citrus (orange, grapefruit) dominate the aroma, with some grassy notes. Gentle bittersweet taste with only a tang of sulphurous astringency. Long balanced finish. I’m not usually a fan of sulphurous beers but this one’s good.
