19th Jan 2018; part of a Flight at The Brewhouse, San Juan Capistrano. Slight haze to my golden amber pour, white affair on top. Fruity and malty nose, some citrus notes from the fruity hops. Taste has a good malty base with tropical fruit flavours bouncing along and among the malty sweetness. Nicely balanced brew, I liked it.

Bomber from Beverages 4 Less in Santee, CA. Pours light golden amber with a slight white head. Aroma is lightly bready with something resembling noble hop. Sort of kolschish. Near med body. Flavor is bready with something pretty grassy. Nicely bitter. No matter what the brewer calls it, I call kolsch. Maybe slightly imperialized, but.... Anyway it drinks nicely.

On tap at the brewery. Only kegged yesterday, and to be real honest, not fully conditioned. Pours with a minimal white head over a hazed deep orange body. Aroma of apricot, peach, stone fruit, and a bit sticky...caramel, table sugar and some perfumey notes. Taste is peach, apricot, sticky toffee, and a light lingering bitterness. Mild carbonation, a bit watery. Really not conditioned long enough. Really a minor growing pain evident in an otherwise great pale ale. Cheers, Eagle Rock! Hope to re-rate this later with better carbonation, that said, still a good effort! Hops on this are primarily simcoe, and apparently finished with crystal and another standard c-hop.
