On cask at The Coal Orchard (JDW), Taunton. Pours black with the merest smidge of beige head. Aroma: roasted malts, milk chocolate, light coffee. Taste: moderate sweet & bitter, roast & chocolate. Thin to medium body with low carbonation

Cask at the Dove Street Inn Winter Festival, 2017. 4.5% abv. Pours black with a very small beige head. Aroma of milky chocolate, roasted malt, and very light coffee notes. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Towards medium body, slightly thin texture, soft carbonation. Bit thin but otherwise pretty decent overall.

Cask half-pint, gravity poured at the Old Fire House, Exeter on 11th Nov 2017. Sadly the beer was flat and in poor condition. However the aroma and flavours seemed not to care very much about it's lack of conditioning. Dark brown, almost black in fact, no head. Plenty of chocolate and coffee esters and flavours around. Pity about the actual flatness.
