Cask half-pint, gravity poured at the Old Fire House, Exeter on 11th Nov 2017. Sadly this came as flat a witches tit and with no head. Tasted OK though, dark, malty with red berries to the fore. Some late chocolate/coffee flavours too.

Cask at The Claret. It pours clear dark brown with a small bubbly white head. The aroma is rich dark malty action, earthy, wood, leather, treacle, cocoa and damp leaves. The taste is dry, bitter, chewy malt, leather, tannin, black tea, leather, earth, treacle, cocoaand burnt caramel with a very drying finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. A rather toothy bitter. Robust. Chewy stuff, but pretty quaffable when you get into it.

Cask-conditioned at the Raven, Bath 5/10/2017. Deep copper in colour, with a decently-sized, off-white, head. Sweetish beer, with some berry fruits, brown sugar and leafy hops, biscuity malts and leafy hips, before a moderately bitter finish. Good.
