Excalibur is a well hopped, extra pale ale. It has a simple malt bill of 100% Maris Otter pale ale malt because this beer is all about the hop variety. Equanot is a new variety to us and gives this beer it's punchy citrus, tropical fruit and herbal aroma.

Cask at the Bootlegger, 15/09/17. Clear golden with a decent off white cap that retains well. Nose is melon, light vanilla essence, floral, grass, hint buttery. Taste improves comprising light caramel, none of the butter found on the nose, light bread, melon, citric rinds. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with a modicum of bitterness. Adequate golde.

On tap at the brewery. A straw coloured pour with a billowing white head; herbal aroma; citrusy taste with an assertive vegetal bitterness. An interesting hop.

7th Sep 2017: half-pint from a polly-pin at a hop event in Worcestershire. Golden pour, white head. Citrus lead in both the nose and taste, light spicy notes also in both the aroma and flavour. Decent.
