Bottle from the Corner Shop at Crossgates. Opens with a bit of a gush. It pours clear deep reddish - copper with a medium off-white head. The aroma is soft, sweetish, pink grapefruit, red berry, jammy, pine and resin. The taste is dry, bitter, resinous, pithy, zesty, pink grapefruit, piney, peppery spice and some some red berry skin with a drying grapefruit finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Nice grapefruit vibes. A rather good hoppy red ale.

19th July 2017: cask at the CAMRA Shrewsbury Beer Festival. Red hue to the mahogany body, off-white blanket on top. Malty front to the nose and taste, piney hops for bitterness, a decent brew all round.
