A beer for the connoisseur. Dark, smooth and full-bodied. Maris Otter and dark roasted malts create the deep colour and Challenger and Goldings hops the extra flavour and aroma

8/2/2019. Bottle at Beer Dock, Crewe. Pours dark amber with an off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, hops, fruit and bread. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Can see this beer has scored well from cask, but this bottle wasn't great.

Cask pint outside the Bridge End Inn, Ruabon on 23rd April 2017. Deep amber, almost ruby in colour, beige head of foam. More malty than hoppy in both the nose and taste, but not sweet in any way. Liked it (not enjoyed some Weetwood beers in the past, glad I gave the brewery another chance, this is more my sort of beer).

Cask handpump at Trackside, Bury, Gtr Manchester, Friday 31st March 2017 in the company of Dad and Barry. A solid, traditional, pleasant amber bitter. Fruity and with a mid bitterness, for the tradionalist but very decent. A6 A5 T7 P3 Ov13 3.4
