Draft. Golden beer with a big cream head. Spice aroma. Spice and light malt flavor with light mineral notes. Medium bodied. Spice and light mineral notes linger with light malt.

On-tap in Long Beach: looking at where it was brewed on 7th Feb 2017. Clear golden pour, white head that hung around better than most beers of this style. More malty aromas and flavours than hoppy ones, but only just. Crisp and refreshing with a slight citrus leaning as it warms a little. Decent Pilsner.

Tap at Beachwood. Really solid Pils. Big peppery noble hops, peppery and pronounced. Just nails it. Great. Clean malt tones, smooth lagering. Impressive.

Glad to finally see the commercial version on tap. Multiple glasses and growlers in the last week. Pours with a mostly clear, yellow hue (less hazy than the zwick), with a white head that doesn’t last as long as the zwick. Aromas are bready, toasty, fruity, floral, light yeast roundness but otherwise clean. Great herbal hop aroma. Flavors are floral, hoppy, noble, herbal saaz. Less bitter bite than I felt on the Zwick, even though they are the same (maybe some yeast contribution or hop matter still in suspension?). Clean with a lovely bready malt profile. Dry, crisp, highly carbonated with a medium bitter balance overall. Great California Pils, different, but close in quality to fresh FW Pivo.
