Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW. Clear, yellow-gold with a modest, foam head. Sugary straw on the nose. Quite sweet, biscuity malts, lemon, honey, lightly hoppy. Light bodied with delicate carbonation. Sweet, sun-baked straw and malts on the finish, some mild grass and citrus. Really good stuff.

Cask at The Harp, London. Golden ale with a smallish head. Fruity, hoppy and crisp. Quite ordinary really, too many beers similar to this in England currently.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol 25/04/09. Golden in colour with next to no head. Sweetish malt aroma with some hay and grassy hops. Flavour was much the same, leading to a decent bitter finish. A solid effort by Saltaire.

Cask, Kings Arms, Salford. Clearish gold with a thin white head. Fragrant citrus hop aroma. Fresh n’ juicy fruit flavour with good balanced hoppage into a drying bitter finish. Tasty stuff.
