Visited the Solana Beach home of the brewery on 28th May 2016 and had 12 x 3oz pours of their beers on tap: this was one of them. Really enjoyed this smooth and rich brew. Black with a creamy, lasting head. Full of coffee and chocolate esters, a joy to drink. The best of the lot for me (of the 12 I had).

Draft at the brewery taproom - Solana Beach. Pours dark brown with a creamy tan head. The nose holds brownie mix, some spices, toffee. Medium sweet flavor with mellow cocoa, light toast, slight earthy bitterness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with modest baking cocoa, burnt toffee, hits of dark fruits. Tasty though not especially deep.
