Our summer pale ale is brewed using the finest Scottish golden promise malt, British and American hops and aged slowly with hickory shavings from our friends at the St. Andrews Golf Company. This is how us at Eden Mill are keeping our GPA on par. Big hoppy citrus notes on the nose. A creamy body with fresh citrus notes ending in a light spice tingle.

Old rating from 04-04-16 - A gift from my Sister in law in Scotland. Pours a golden cloudy ale with very little head. Aromas of citrus, grapefruit & malt. Tastes of citrus, grapefruit, cereal & malt leading to a slight bitter finish.

330ml bottle: BBE of Aug 2016. Poured into a Chimay chalice on 17th June 2016 during a ’Random Beer Rating Evening’ with myself. Light amber bodied, the head a smooth white blanket of foam. Dry finish to this interesting beer. The nose is weak in my opinion, some faint metallic and grainy notes which didn’t set my heart beating any faster. The taste however is complicated and far from weak: spicy, citrusy and pale malty in nature it oozes flavour. Liked it.

Bottle from the brewery. Clear golden body with a thin white head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of tin, grapefruit and lime peel. Flavour of astringent hops, stainless steel and aspirin. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Light fizz. Quite harsh.
