Half-pint, cask at Poole Hill Brewery. Shared with Finn. Upper part lacing on the glass, filmy layer, cloudy dark golden body. Malt-fruity aromas, doughy. Biscuit, marmalade and mid-sweet malts to the taste buds. Dough fruity ending. Satisfying. (Bournemouth 22.10.2019).

Handpull cask at Poole Hill Brewery, Bournemouth. Light to mid-reddish brown, clear with a bit of off-white head. Some sweet nutty malts in the nose with an intensely astringent character. Taate is much the same: the medicinal character overtakes the subtely of the malt-led flavours. I love a good brown ale and was so looking forward to this but ended up somewhat disappointed.

14/7/2019. Cask at the Poole Hill Brewery (home of Southbourne Ales), Bournemouth. Pours clear amber brown with a small lasting off-white head. Aroma of toffee, malt, chocolate, molasses, biscuit and dried fruit with a hint of liquorice. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, very soft carbonation. Tasty brew.

Cask @ the brewpub. Nice head with good duration. Color is dark amber. Aroma and taste are caramel, malt, nuts, little alcohol and has a nice hoppy finish.
