This easy drinking session pale has moderate bitterness from the late addition of the American Galena and Mount Hood hops. A bold fruity aroma leading to a subtle herbal flavour with a hint of blackcurrant and pepper.

Cask @ Ashton Arms, Oldham. Clear pale gold with small creamy head. Hopped with light floral fruitiness in both aroma and taste.

Hand-pulled half-pint in the excellent Chesterfield Ale House on 20th Nov 2014: my first visit to a Micropub. Light golden blond body with a white head. Bland and uninteresting to be honest. Mild fruit hints in both the nose and taste but uninspiring to say the least. Another ’samey’ beer from Abbeydale, at least it wasn’t citrusy! Must add it was in a great condition and most likely as good as it is going to get. Maybe the subtlety would suit some drinkers, but I was not impressed.
