Can. Abbey Stop Shop, Sheffield. 7.0%. Clear, light amber. Ring and film of white. Nose is syrupy sweet malts. Caramel brittle. Light, grassy hop. Some honey. Taste is sweet, with a metallic, bitter edge. Ok mouthfeel. A tad syrupy. Doesn’t feel the ABV necessarily. Abrupt, sweet finish.

500ml can: BBD Jan 2015, bought in a dodgy off-licence in Walthamstow and drank on 13th Sep 2014. Golden and clear, bright looking body, white head. Semi-sweet feel to the basic Euro strong lager experience I expected and got. Nothing special but nothing wrong either, not my thing really but it didn’t kill me.

bottle from Baltic Branch Dover. Golden colour, small white head, quite fizzy appearance. Sticky malty start, then quite watery with some cardboardy biterness. No.
