Tap at the brewpub. Pours dark amber with orange glints and a beige head. Aroma is pretty malty, but there’s a good deal of hop. There’s a chocolate aspect, but there’s enough old school hop to render it enjoyable. Malty, hoppy and bitter. Works nicely together.

14th July 2014: large sample from the tap at the brewpub. I did not want any more. Looking at others thoughts on this site it would seem my offering was old or infected, needing taking off the bar because it was almost sour. Malty and red coloured yes, but not sweet or interesting, just ’iffy’ in everything. Only just managed to finish my sample it was that bad.
