One of the breweries ’Wicked Women’ series this semi-sweet Mild was tried at the 2014 Lincoln beer festival. Half-pint, deep chestnut in colour with a white crown, malty and flavoursome. Is it a Mild, or a tweaked bitter, not sure but I did enjoy it. Semi-sweet from the malt lead it sits on the fence in style, try it and you decide what type of beer it is.

Cask @ Engineers Arms, Henlow. Described as a ’milk mild’ on brewery’s Twitter account. Light brown with a small off-white head. Decent lacing. Aroma is sour, vinegary and not particularly enticing. However there is considerable sweetness in the taste, as well as a cinnamon spiciness which changes to bittersweet/sour for the prolonged finished. A light mild is in my opinion a difficult style to pull off. Full marks for trying but the beer isn’t all that convincing.
