Cask at the White Lion - Norwich. Pours clear gold with a creamy white head. Citrusy hops in the aroma with floral undertones. Light to medium sweet flavor with sugary white bread, bitter hay, more floral notes, lemon meringue. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Decent balance on the finish, more citrusy hops, white bread, lemon, tangerine, straw. A nicely drinkable golden ale.

hand-pulled half-pint at The Crown Inn, Oakengates on 1st May 2014, one of thirty four hand-pulls to choose from. This beer poured a clear golden colour with a thin off-white covering of bubbles, more lacing seemed to appear than the head should/could have managed. Nice blend of aromas and taste with the malts just giving a slightly sweet feel to the brew: the name suggest ’honey’ might be used in the brew, didn’t notice any hints of it though, so maybe ’Nugget’ is to do with the gold colour? I must read the pump-clips, that might have helped.
