A light, copper colour ale with a fresh, hoppy taste and a clean, bitter finish. Brewed with two varieties of hops combined with Pale and Crystal malts, Twenty 14 is a well-balanced and easy-drinking pint.

Cask at the Bird in Hand, Knowl Hill. An attractive bright copper colour with a ring of loose white head; the aroma has some weak malts and grassy hops; very thin in the mouth with a caramel malt taste; and a dry, biscuity finish. Not exactly memorable.

Hand-pulled half-pint in The Park Inn, Wellington, Shropshire on 13th Jan 2014. This is an amber Mild, clear bodied, very unlike the usual Brains Dark Mild. The head was white and full giving some heavy lacing as the beer level fell. I found it a little weak (it is 3.4% ABV though) and watery with not a lot going on in the nose or taste. Malts do show more than the hops but the whole thing was instantly forgotten, good job I took these notes!
