Currently our strongest brew, Noël Ale is named after Sir Noël Arkell, who was born on Christmas Day and is the late father of current chairman, Peter Arkell. The golden colour of our 'winter warmer', which is available only in December, disguises its full malty and hoppy flavour.

Clear 500ml Bottle, 5.0% ABV: BBD 24 Jun 14, poured into a UK pint sleeve at home on 30 Dec 13. Light amber to golden brew with a thin white head. Malty molasses blend in with some strange semi-spiced hop esters: couldn’t figure out the weird aroma at all. The taste is also on the strange side, malty lead but again with a different set of flavours difficult to pin down. Slight toffee apple feel to the taste as it warms. OK and certainly different.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Multi layered ale. Slightly creamy, slighlty bitter, malty. Very drinkable. Nice!
