I’m sure this was ’Billie’, not Billy. It’s named after that horse at the 1923 FA Cup Final and the pub I was in had a picture on the wall of it. Hand-pulled pint in The White Horse, Oxford during a crawl on 23rd Nov 13. Light brown and easy to drink: mild sweet fruitiness with a semi-bitter undertone. Forgettable session ale really, no real depth of flavour or body.
