Cask at The Glebe, Stoke. Golden. Small head. Fresh aroma bursting with citrus hop. Taste doesn’t deliver the hop bomb promised by the aroma, however this remains a balanced well-hopped session beer. Bittersweet, fades nicely.

Joules have now started to brew ’seasonal beers’: this is their latest offering (Autumn 2013). Hand-pulled half-pint in the brewery tap on 8th Sep 2013. Very pale golden body, clean, clear and bright, on top a pure white head that gave some good lacing. Dry in flavour and feel, hops rule the whole brew, semi-floral and semi-bitter in nature. Not really my thing, but a hop fan may well take to it.
