Hand-pulled pint in The Crown Inn, Oakengates on 1 Aug 2013. Nice golden hue to the brew: thin white head sat on top. Varied bag of flavours and smells: a basket of fruit soaked in a semi-sweet biscuit bowl mixture. Nothing too strong or overpowering, just a good blend of tastes and aromas. The body could have been richer and deeper, but I’m being ’picky’: better than most of Burton Bridge’s beers I’ve encountered over the years.
