Cask at St Albans beer festival 2012. A golden coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus fruit aroma. Tastes bitter, hoppy, citrus fruit. Not quite up to Oakhams usual standard this one but still perfectly acceptable.

Hand-pulled pint in the brewery owned ‘Barton Arms’, Birmingham on 18th Sep 2012 during a mini-pub-crawl. Pale golden colour with a hint of a haze: on top a full white head. The nose was full of aromas: I thought Mango’s and Peaches which would normally put me off, but although the smells were of tropical and sweet fruits the taste seemed more normal with a malt presence that counteracted the aroma somewhat. Strange brew and one of the few Oakham beers I’ve actually liked: would have had another to confirm the flavours but we were on a mission and couldn’t stay any longer.

Cask at Tap East - 06/09/12. Clear pale yellow with a good frothy white head. Excellent lacing ensues all the way down the glass. Nose is of floral hops, grapefruit, pine, citrus and mandarin orange. Tastes of floral hops, orange pith, peach, mango, grapefruit with a lingering bitter dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Excellent fresh tasting stuff!
