25/5/2018. Cask at the 2018 Newark Beer & Cider Festival. Pours cloudy dark amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of fruit, malt, caramel, hops and berries. Medium plus sweetness, light to moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft to flat carbonation. Fruity bitter finish. Grower.

16th June 2012: hand pulled half-pint in the excellent ‘Crown’, Beeston. Third beer of the evening and this amber beer caught my eye as the bloke in front of me ordered one, I followed. The head was both creamy in colour and texture and the beer oozed caramel flavours throughout. The nose was dominated by the malty caramel smells and the hops couldn’t get a look in until the end of each sip when a slight bitterness arrives as the mouth dried.
