Part of the ""Mystic Brews"" series - originally released in 1996/97, relaunched in 2007.
A distinctive traditional bitter ale with a refreshing dry palate. Brewed using blend of 2 traditional English hops, Goldings & Fuggles. Delicate floral aroma at first, followed by peppery/spicy finish.

This is one of Bateman’s ’Mystic Brews’, they are producing beers for various signs of the Zodiac during different times of the year. This beer was tasted at the bi-annual beer festival held at the brewery (May 2007). Hand pulled in the windmill, brewery bar. The pint sleeve glass had a dark amber beer with an off-white topped head, it looked good. The smell was most offputting, an almost fowl aroma of sulphur and farmyards almost made me take the beer back. Luckily the taste and mouthfeel made up for the aroma, a solid English bitter flavour, not a fantastic, must have another straight away sort of beer, but fine none-the-less.
