Brought by someone to the ISHA Zagreb 2012 NDP (thanks... hm, Sophie I reckon). Was positively shocked that I got to try something new yet again on one of those, really didn’t expect something like this. Clear yellow body. Sweet-sour musty nose, quite generic. Watery, tart, dry, slightly crappy apple taste. One of the more common ones I guess, and by far the worst I’ve had from Germany... and I thought that nothing could move Blauer Bock from that distinction.

Pale yellow. Very light carbonation, visually. Rather sulphury aroma is not particularly pleasant, like stinky apple juice. Dry, thin, with lots of harsh tartness and sulphur. Definitely has some characteristics of a crappy white wine, but much drier and harsher. Pretty industrial stuff right here.

1L bottle from an Edeka supermarket
Light blond color, no head. It has tiny microbubbles in suspension. Aroma of plastic and hazelnuts. Dry mouthfeel, weak, with a sour flavor, like the worst of the white wines, and light hazelnuts. It has a chemical touch too, in the end. Undrinkable.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A clear, pale golden cider, still and headless. Apple and apple cores in the aroma. It’s quite dry on the palate, medium bodied and sort of astringent. A bit dull on the flavor, but it’s quite nice anyway. Drinks easy and is quite decent too. 110319
