Dry and sourish beginning. Fruity, watery, sourish. The sourness gets higher in the end, hints of sulfur with sour apples on an easy to drink body. Simple but nice.

Looks like hazy apple juice. Green apples and sulfur. Taste is really sour. Even for sour apples. Didn’t really enjoy that one.

Hazy yellow color with no head. Aroma is sulphuric, green apples, citrus. Taste is sour green apples, more sulphur, dry finish. Light-bodied, refreshing. Very slight carbonation. Different from what I had expected, it’s just not too complex and rather light. Probably not the best Äppewoi, it can’t match a good cider. Reminds me of "Sura Moscht" from my home region.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Levi’s place. Thanks Ariel. Clear golden. Aroma of ripe green apples and a bit of sulphur. Mildly tart flavor of ripe green apples with a bitterish note. Decent.

1 litre bottle thanks to Mctapps! Pours pale yellow with mild apple aroma. Taste bears light sweet apple, faint pear drops & a somewhat dry character. A bit thin but still quenchingly pleasant.

1L bottle. Clear golden yellow colour, no head - just a thin white rim that quickly disappears, and aroma of sourish apple. Taste is tart apple, abit watery and quite dry with some tannin. Light bodied, low carbonation, clean dry finish. OK, refreshing.

Bouteille: Clear, pale golden with a greenish sheen, no head as usual, sour apples and sulphur in the nose; dry - but not bone dry - sourish flavour, light bodied; lingering sourish-sulphury finish with a slightly balancing touch of fruity sweetness. Very simple Ebbelwoi, but not too bad…

Brought by someone to the ISHA Zagreb 2012 NDP (thanks... hm, Sophie I reckon). Was positively shocked that I got to try something new yet again on one of those, really didn’t expect something like this. Clear yellow body. Sweet-sour musty nose, quite generic. Watery, tart, dry, slightly crappy apple taste. One of the more common ones I guess, and by far the worst I’ve had from Germany... and I thought that nothing could move Blauer Bock from that distinction.
