A deep amber premium bitter, traditionally brewed using only the finest quality of Stonehenge Spring Water, barley, wheat, crystal and black malts, whole hops and the brewery’s own top-fermenting yeast. The rich composition of malty and fruity flavours together with the aroma hops gives the beer just the right warmth and flavour – explicitly Santa’s choice!

(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm, 10 Dec 2010) Dark ruby colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with toast, dried fruit, apricots and dark bread. Malty, fruity taste with notes of dried fruit, toast, caramel and earthy hops in a fairly bittersweet finish. Slightly more than medium body. Quite nice.

Cask at the Claude du Vall (JDW), Camberley. Copper coloured with a tight cream head; aroma of sour cherries; sour cherry flavour with some soft caramel malts; and an unpleasantly acidic finish.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 9/1/08. Reddish-amber in colour with a decent off-white head. Caramel and red fruit aroma with a malty flavour and slightly sour finish. Unremarkable.

Beautiful mahogany color; small head. Strange beer, a caramel-based low-bitterness ale, with a light fruitness and probably a bit stale (some Madeira wine…)

A clear red beer with a fine light brown head. The aroma is quite light with notes of golding hops and caramel. The flavor is sweet toffeeish, slightly sticky in the beginning, but then turning smooth, until it leaves You with a dry woody end combined with some nutty notes.

(Bottle 50 cl) Beautiful, clear mahogany with a creamy off-white and crudely structured head. Lovely, fruity ale-esters and some caramel. Also loads of caramel in the flavour, roasted malt that is and a pronounced sweet finish. Lovely and very christmasy. 120705
