Almost 2.5 years ago, TG Brewmaster, Mike Saboe, and the Moksa team designed a base stout specifically for extended aging in 13 year old Elijah Craig barrels. The beer was so robust that we had to age it two years before the beer and barrel were in harmony. We weren't done there though. For the last four months, we added Ugandan vanilla beans directly into the barrel before racking it into a brite tank. The beer is incredibly smooth with complex layers of oak and sweet vanilla.

Dark sweet malty, sweet intense malty chocolate, caramel, full body, bourbon infused malty close. Beautiful.

While on the subject of big BBA stouts with vanilla, let's open this. Harms birthday present. Also very nice, thick, rich and smooth. Bourbon is there but balanced, vanilla is a touch restrained. Bit of roast, good chocolate. Quite nicely balanced.
