An epic Imperial Stout aged in Rum, Mezcal, and Scotch for 11 months, inspired by good times around a campfire with friends.
Taste: Sweet maple syrup mixes with rich oaky tannins and dark chocolate, coating the tongue before offering a spicy lingering taste of chewy liquorice.
Appearance: Jet black with a brown cream-like head.
Nose: Rich, burnt sugar and molasses is buffered by hints of espresso and raisin. Lingering long enough in the glass and warming up this beer starts to reveal hints of sweet spiced rum, pipe tobacco, and smoke, like the last burning embers of a roaring campfire.

0,33 flaske fra pastry-avdelinga VP Herbarium, hjemme: nesten helt kullsvart med fint beige skum. Intenst velgjørende aroma og ditto munnfølelse av den lekre fatlagringen, svisker/rosiner marinert i brun rom, mørke dessertchokolader og -kaker, lakris og hint av cigarbox. Ettersmaken vil ingen ende ta. Fløyelsmyk med elegant balanserende bitterhet. Så velegnet for vedlikehold av psyken at jeg må høre med fastlegen om han kan gi meg denne på blå resept.

Black with a minimal but lasting light brown head. Aroma of, sweet malt, dried fruit and chocolate. Sweet with a warm dried fruit and chocolate end. Full bodied, nice night cap.

Bottle picked up from Beer Republic Nr Breda, Webshop, Netherlands and consumed at home Sunday 24th April 2022 watching Netflix We had Chimichangas for tea tonight and also cooked a Sausage Casserole. This pours black with a creamy textured tan head. Barrel ageing noticed on the nose, smooth creamy moutheel, some liquorice, a little smokey edge, then chocolate. The rum and mezcal are dominant. Pleasant well crafted beer but far too sweet.

Bottle. Black. Massive sugary notes, raw barrel, tequila, soft smoke, chocolate, brown sugar, cigars, rye. Very very sweet, medium bitter. Full sugary body.

Appearance: Deep brown to black, opaque. one finger tall beige frothy head of good retention. Aroma: Toasted and roasted, treacle, lovely oak barrel, vinous notes. Taste: medium sweet, low to light bitterness. Toasted and roasted, treacle, subtle oak barrel, rum, vinous notes, moderate alcohol. Mouth feel: Full body, soft to average carbonation. Summary: Fine.

330ml bottle kindly shared by Finn. Naked on the surface, faint lacing, deep black body. Inviting aromas of black malts, creamy and sweet. Black malt forward taste as well, impacts of liquorice, prunes and rum. Smooth malty finish, overly sweet and rather boozy. Some slow sipper qualities in smaller amounts. Way too sweet in the long run. (Tromsø 15.02.2022).

Delt med Rune på Nerstranda. Svart. Lavt mokkafarget skum som blir helt borte. Aroma av søt rom & whisky. Silkemyk munnfølelse. Smaken veldig søt. Tørket frukt. Rom. Uvariert.

Pours black, brownish nice head. Aroma rum, melasa and some sweetness. Lactic sweetness in taste which bit downgrades quality of beer. Alcohol present, not hidden. Almost full body. Good one stout, not for drink it alone.
