Dry-hopped with Nelson Sauvin, Mosaic, and El Dorado, She Doesn’t Need U is the latest addition to our repertoire of cans. Landing at 7% on the dot, this IPA opens up with notes of ripe melon and fresh pear on the nose. To follow are tropical flavors, including a burst of pineapple that leads into a slightly dank, complimentary finish. It’s beautiful.

Lemon and a little hay. Light on flavour but well balanced and pleasant. Pours hazy light yellow with good head retention. Mostly clean finish with just a hint of tang. Can.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to tulip.
Appearance: pale orange cardboard haziness with a two finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: sweet pears, white grape and some pine on top with a light herbal and mixed citrusy hoppy note in the middle then some light clean malts
Flavor: mixed on up the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to bittersweet quality and adds in a little bit of grapefruity hop tones; finishes grapefruity, pear-like and white grapey
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; some smoothness and a touch of some hop assertiveness but nothing overbearing
Overall: nice enough NEIPA I'd have again.

Bitter, herbal & citrus aroma. Medium bodied, sharp & dry on the back. Lemon, pith, grapefruit, white wine & soda tastes. Very light for the ABV.

Something off tasting about this. Get a weird pear flavor, lot of floaties. Canned about a month ago. Should be better.

16 oz can. Aroma shows a soft amount of white grape and mild pine in the flavor is balanced by the white grape and some grapefruit notes. Subtle yeast hints. It is a bit spicy in the finish. Another finely made brew from Foam.

Pours hazy yellow into a tulip. White head with little retention recedes to nothing. Melon, passion fruit and pineapple aromas. Soft with lychee, guava and hot melon front to back. Hot, lasting tropical fruit skin finish.

Taster. Appearance: cloudy glonde with a white head. Aroma: weird floral and herbal notes. Taste: along the same lines, a bit chalky. Overall: meh.

Can (9/28/23) pour from One Stop Market. A cloudy bright yellow with cap of head fading to a ring and trace lacing. Aroma is sweet/tart lemon, milder musty grape. Taste follows aroma. Smooth, frothy texture, average texture and crisp, yeasty, lightly bitter finish. Sweet/tart element is interesting but don’t love it, or interaction with Nelson. OK.

Very hazy, golden and light blonde coloured body with a pretty nice three centimetre tall pure white head that fades pretty quickly. Aroma of bright grass and lightly tropical hop notes with a pretty big bitterness, in the nose, at least. Medium-bodied; Pungent grassy and very citrusey hop notes show at first with a big backbone from the clean-drinking wheat and oat maltiness with a light dash of sweetness from tropical fruits noticeable on the end, but the hops show well and pretty bitter. Aftertaste shows some light crispy grassy flavours with quite a bit of perfumey notes and a good balance of citrus fruit sweetness and good malts to hold the flavours up - very nice throughout. Overall, a nice, clean and easy-drinking IPA with a good deal of bitterness, while showing some smooth sweetness, a lot of tropically and citrusey notes, all with a smooth backbone from wheat and oats that make this very nice. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Red Wagon in Troy, Michigan on 18-April-2023 for US$3,75 sampled two days later at my hotel room here in Utica, Michigan on 20-April-2023.
