Comparing to the Pale Ale, I thought this has more depth and flavor with more assertive hop character. I thought this was particularly bitter for a bitter, but I don’t mind at all. Nice beer.

500 ml bottle. Golden colour with a frothy off-white head. Slightly roasted aroma with citrus and malt. A well balanced beer with a pleasant mix of bitterness, aroma hops and sweetness. A very nice refreshing bitter in British style with a hint of American hops.

Small white head over hazy orange body. Slightly roasty caramel and grain aroma with notes of citric hops, but also pea-like hops. Dryish citric caramel taste with chalky pea-like aftertaste. Some roastiness in the back. Kind of sweetish, with a metallic quality to it. The peas and citrus linger for a long time. Nice, but not a major beer. (0.5l bottle from Centra.)

Hazy amber color; big head. The aroma is ordinary, with a light but sharp touch of baking yeast. The taste has some malt, a strong pleasant bitterness, playing with good caramel and toffee. Enjoyable.

Bottled. Golden with a small beige head. Aroma is malt, citrus, hops and a spicey element. Much the same in flavor. Sweet, then dry and hoppy aftertaste. Rating: 7-3-7-4-15-3.6. (051117)
Bottle, #364. A slightly hazy golden beer with a two-finger off-white head of medium retention. Lacings. It has a quite gentle aroma citrusy, piney hops and pale malts. It has been too long since I’ve had this one, I certainly don’t remember it as gentle as this. It’s malty-sweet on the palate, with a fine hoppy bitterness to balance it. Resiny hops too. Medium to full body, with pleasant carbonation. The finish is of medium longivity, with a fine bitterness and flavors of resin and some citrus. Even though it’s good, I was sort of disappointed, and will certainly try to find a bottle or two of another batch soon. Still like it though. (090302)
