Bottle 50 CL. Apperance; Orange, hazy with a minimal white head. Aroma; fruits and hops. Flavor; Hops, light bitter ending, nice. Bought this at Ølutsalget Tromsdalen where they told me that they store the Nøgne Ø beers for a few years after the best before date is over, so the aroma gets better. So I emailed Nøgne Ø to get that confirmed, and they said that their beers last longer than the best before dates.

A cloudy, orange-brown beer with a big and temptating beige head. Aroma is quite nice, wood, some toffee and belgian fruits, hint of sweetness and pine needles. A taste is slightly different than aroma, dry and bitter with citrusfruity twist, sour green apples. Slightly too thin body that feels also in the short taste. Nice beer with the interesting, sour, green apple flavours, everyone can choosed, is it good or bad, I think it is the good.

(Bottle on 2008-10-08) Amber. Slightly hazy. Very large slightly tan coloured head that lasts long. Light nose with malts and grass aromas. Medium bodied and dry palate with lot of carbonation. Grass, bitterness, malts and white bread in taste. Bitter and grassy aftertaste.

A hazy reddish amber ale with a thin off white head. A sweetish malt with light floral hops. In mouth, a nice restrained ale with a bit of floral hops, sustained maltiness, staying long in mouth. Medium bodied. A good bitter. Bieropholie import.

50 cL bottle. Pours deep orange to amber, light hazy, with a one finger thick light off-white head. Aroma is light citrusy and grassy. Flavour to the contrary starts quite malty with solid breadish notes. Following this a the citrusy/lime hops flavours appear as expected. Ends with a light citrus fruity bitterness. Nice bitter thirst quencher, yet nothing special flavourwise.

(Bottle, MacKinlay’s Inn, Stockholm) Amber colour with huge, frothy, off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with toffee, caramel and earthy hops. A bit closed. Malty, fruity taste with notes of orange, toffee and a dry, metallic bitterness in the finish. Fairly thin body. Quite nice, but not as impressive as many of their other beers.

Hazy bronze color. Biter hops and bitter malt. Medium palate. A simple beer, but good palate and more flavorful than many bitters.

Bottle. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. DArk yellow colour. Powerfull moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Light bitter flavor. Moderate bitter average fnish. Oily palate. Really nice bitter.

Bottle. Small head with short duration. Color is amber. Aroma is stong and hoppy. Taste is quite hoppy too. Tasted more like an IPA actually.

Brown bottle, 0,5 l, batch 234, brewed on 190206, best before 190207; eyey: voluminous pale beige head made up of average size bubbles that eventually fades away to leave a ring around the glass, burnt orange with caramel reflections, hazy, no effervescence, quite a bit of lacing; nose: quite hoppy after pouring the beer but the smells disappear after that, leaving a grainy malt and a bit of leather that becomes more present as the beer warms; mouth: disappointing first sip, the beer is too cold and not that flavourful and even thin, surprisingly it starts in malt, then no tastes, and finally the hops attacks, it will never leave et will stay in a long finale where the leather will also presnet, light astringence at the end, quite bitter, medium body, grainy texture, good carbonation; overall: correct FRANÇAIS Bouteille brune, 0,5 l, batch 234, brassée le 190206, meilleure avant le 190207; oeil : mousse beige pâle abondante et faite de bulles de taille moyenne, orange brulée avec des reflets caramel, voilée, pas d’effervescence, pas mal de dentelle; nez : pas mal houblonnée après avoir versée la bouteille mais les odeurs semblent être disparues, il reste un odeur de malt granuleux et d’un peu de cuir qui devient de plus en plus présent à mesure que la bière se réchauffe; bouche : déception à la première gorgée, la bière est froide et peu goûteuse et même très mince, curieusement elle commence en malt, puis une pause, et finalement le houblon granuleux qui attaque, il ne partira plus et restera présent dans une longue finale où son côté cuir apparaîti, légère astringence à la fin, pas mal amère, corps moyen, texture granuleuse, bonne carbonatation; en résumé : correct
