330ml bottle. Quasi black colour with small to average, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige head. Sweet-ish, chocolately, dark malty aroma, notes of milk chocolate, dark chocolate, nougat creme, "Nutella", whiffs of treacle. Taste is mildly bitter, roasty, dark malty, minimally ashy, minimally fruity hoppy, low residual sweetness, notes of dry cocoa, a touch of blueberry.
Watery texture, smooth, soft, slightly cloying palate, medium, soft carbonation.
Quite light Impy Stout, too sweet and clean to deserve its name - so-so.

Bottle from Haussmann Getränke, drunk on a summery day in Allgäu. Almost black, brown head that doesn't last long. Sweet molasses cookies nose. Smooth sweetness, dark brown sugar, coffee roasted notes, not too complex but enjoyable. Reminds me of smells in Grandma's kitchen. Just a moderate bitterness at the end.

Black with medium brown head. Aroma is nuts phenols petroleum dried figs. Taste is sour grapes bitter oils and phenolic bullshit. Not really drinkable. Very candle wax. Bah.

BKL2016. Dusty roasted aroma, licorice, Black, nice big Amber cream. Medium body, mellow, quite drinkable. Nice roasted notes, berries, flavor some and quaffable

Black color with tan head. Aroma is cranberries, chocolate. Taste is cranberries, dark malts, quite drinkable, but not complex. Alright.

Sehr dunkel braune Farbe, mittelgroße beige Schaumkrone. Geruch schokoladig süß, Vanille, Karamell. Geschmack sehr schokoladig, röstmalzig, Vanille, süß, gut.

(bottle, 33cl, 7.5% abv) Black colour with a brown mid-sized foamy head. Sweet and delicately roasted malty aroma with nutty and subtle berry-fruity notes, accompanied by hints of chocolate, pistachios/persipan and espresso. Bitter-sweet and delicately tart flavour, medium bodied at best with a calm carbonation. Dark and slightly roasted malt character with notes of chocolate, nuts and a whiff of espresso; a tad slim, bitter-sweet dark malty finish with a muted alcoholic strength. Drinkable brew but rather mediocre as an Imperial Stout. 17.XI.15
