Why Not is a double IPA brewed with 20% UK rye malt. We added piney hops Simcoe and Chinook in the whirlpool which marry with the spiciness of the rye. For a more tropical touch, we dry hopped with Moteuka, Galaxy, and Cryo Simcoe to bring the hops bursting into the foreground. But there is no hiding the rye here as the beer has a copper/amber appearance, and coming in at 8.1% ABV it has a full body and big finish. Why Not will remind you of an old school Rye DIPA with an upgrade to today’s hazy/double dry-hopped expectations.

Bergen Ølfestival lørdag formiddag, og etter to suverene øl fra Hogna og en fra NØ er jeg skjerpet og klar for denne: uklar gylden med fint skum som varer helt ned. Furunål, grapefrukt, eukalyptus, noe urteaktig og et fint innslag av rug. Mersmak også, naturligvis.
