Aromatic, Dry, Refreshing. A refreshing, five grain lager with a clean malt base and a delicate and refreshing citrus aroma. Brewed with Strisselspalt hops for their legendary aromatic properties, our premium craft lager is both satisfying and refreshing.
Note - this beer is brewed under contract at Shepherd Neame and distributed to all sites. It is not brewed at the local Brewhouse and Kitchens. It sits here under the Highbury brewpub address which (until recently) also served as the B&K administration centre. The beer available at all sites should be rated here.

9/10/2020. Draught at the Brewhouse & Kitchen, Portsmouth. Pours clear bright gold with a fluffy white head. Aroma of citrus, grain, sweet malt, touch of sulphur. Medium plus sweetness and light bitterness. Moderate body, oily texture, average carbonation. Sweet caramelised banana finish. Not great.

Half-pint by keg, shared with Finn at Brewhouse & Kitchen in Horsham. Clear golden body, covering white head, spotty lacing. Moderate grainy fruits on the nose. Restrained taste of pale malts with citric notes. Drying end. Fair enough. On keg at the Brewhouse, Cheltenham. Appearance - golden with steady carbonation. Thin white head. Nose - sweetcorn and green beans. Taste - more sweetcorn, lemon and hop spice. Palate - dry and lean in texture. Dry finish. Overall - good example of the style.

Keg. Bright clear gold beer, decent white head. Palate is light and mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Clean lager malts, mildly sweet. A light tang. Hops bring a mild tangy pine and light floralness, trace of hop spice. Very mild citrus. Light finish. A clean and pretty drinkable lager.

Keg at he brewpub - Hoxton. Pours clear yellow-gold with a frothy, pure white head. Pretty basic but entirely enjoyable last. Some cereal, white bread, biscuits, straw. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet biscuity finish. Just fine.
