A deep malt base of Extra Pale, Wheat and a generous helping of Rolled Oats create a creamy full body. An addition of Lactose brings a smooth decadence. On top of this, we piled on lashings of Citra, Enigma & Cashmere. The result is a thick, blazing yellow daydream with notes of Honeydew, Candied Orange and Ripe Peach. The finish is long and sweet with a delicate bitterness and a floral note of sweet woodruff.

Tap at the Craft Inn, Shirley. Poured a murky golden orange colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, orange citrus. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter, with a fresh, malt, juicy citrus, light dry pepper spice, warm alcohol bitter palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Can. After the stunning Northern Monk QIPA, how the feck do you follow that and not be disappointed? Here goes then .. hazy orange gold beer with a small pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth but a tad thin. It's semi dry and has decent fine minerally carbonation. Smooth malts, a soft creamy sweetness. An interesting hop combo here. Citra, the Cary Grant of hops, never gives a bad performance. Plus two new stars, Cashmere and Enigma. The slightly bitterish black pepper vibe is obvious and because I taste that I am looking for and finding that cranberry vibe that Enigma is reputed for. Good rich orange, tangerine and mandarin with a little peel bitterness holding in check the brightness of the citric juiciness. Cashmere I always found somewhat floral but here it is closer to it's descriptors of lemon - lime, defo more on the lime side and even then, more on the lime peel side. Okay some floral citrus on the back end. Smooth finish. Yeah, this was a really good dipa to follow the unbelievably good Northern Monk QIPA because despite that beers wonderous fruity hop complexity, this brew has plenty to say that Northern Monk didn't. Lime, lemon, black pepper and cranberry. What wonderful things hops are, that they can bring such a variety of flavours.
