Roasty, dark malty aroma, BA overtones, notes of dark chocolate, hints of couverture, vinous fruity hints of blue grapes, Port, a spicy touch of nutmeg, cinnamon. Taste is sweet-ish, dark malty, simultaneously dry, roasty dark malty, notes of dark chocolate, some treacle, yeasty spicy hints of gingerbread, a vinous, fruity touch of blue grapes, some Port, a very cautious touch of cinnamon. Minimally oily texture, smooth and soft palate, soft carbonation. Not overly complex, round, harmonious, balanced - nice.

Bottle, courtesy of Koelschtrinker. Pours darkest brown with a beige head. Aroma is barrel, port, wood. Body is heavy and strong, really boozy, but fruitier than the sherry. Better balanced. Good!

Smooth sweetish beginning. The port is quite sweetish with wood and sweet red grapes there. Chocolate, red fruit, red grapes and a moderate sweetness. Round and highly drinkable, but not as subtle as the Sherry version.

Intensiv malziger, rund schokoladig holziger Antrunk. Sehr weich, nie alkoholisch. Bitterschokoladig, etwas zu starke Karbonisierung. Harmonisch, intensiv, die Auswirkungen der Fasslagerung werden zum Ende stärker sichtbar. Sehr gut! 9/13/12/13/10/13
