Forgotten in the back of the cellar. Pours quite viscous black with no head. Raisin, malt, dark chocolate, vanilla. Oakey and woody. Some cardboard shining through as well. A little bit over the top, but still fairly good.

Dark brown color with hardly any beige head. Aroma is rich wood, a bit oxidized. Taste is wood, wood, some whisky, more or less a logical continuation of the other ones. Still feels fresh. Low carbonation. Very good.

Bottle courtesy of RoNo. Pours dark blackish brown with a small mocha head that leaves a small ring of trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty, toasty and slightly fruity eatery with caramel, toffee, toasted cereal, banana bread, vanilla fudge, charred wood, cocoa powder, minerals and light peat whisky. Taste is sweet, bitter, malty and tiny fruity eatery. Mouthfeel is soft, round, tiny viscous, tiny astringent, tiny boozy and medium bodied. Finish is sweet and slightly bitter with caramel, toffee, dark bread, banana bread, vanilla fudge, charred wood, raisins, prunes, moist soil and hints of whisky alcohol. Solid malty offering with intriguing and skill full barrel treatment. But thin which actually makes it suffer a lot but this is nonetheless a good beer.

11.2 oz bottle poured into a Spiegelau tulip. Bottle #00909, June 2013. Black with thin bubbly light tan ring of head. Aromas of butterscotch, whiskey, dark fruit & raisins, some toasty notes. Tastes of chocolate, light whiskey, some smoke and roast, subtle caramel. Light somewhat watery body with a dry finish. Low carbonation. Smells better than it tastes.
