(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 4 May 2022) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with brown bread, caramel and roasted grain. Malty, roasted taste with notes of dark bread, caramel, raisins, red berries and a balanced spicy bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Very nice.
Middling for the style. Not super crisp, a bit muddy. But quite drinkable. Beertemple ams

Pours a clear dark brown colour and a frothy light beige head with a little bit retention. Aroma's: drop/licorice, light roast, with additionally malty sweetness, sweet spices and light hops retronasal. Flavour is light sweet and moderate bitter with roast. Medium bodied, fair carbonation. Roast becomes ash in the finish, with a short firm bitterness.
