[33cl bottle from Beer52] A glossy opaque black pour with a thick chocolate coloured head; aroma of coffee and chocolate; oily and silky smooth in the mouth with a rich coffee taste and a smattering of coconut; then a dry chocolatey finish. Very nicely done.

Can from Beer 52. Has an aroma of sweet milky coffee. Pours a very dark reddish brown with a small beige head. In the mouth this starts out with the sweetness of coconut, but the bitterness of coffee grounds is right behind it. They then combine to give a chocolate effect. Hints of dark fruits and vanilla as well. Plus alcoholic warmth which takes over at the otherwise quite bitter finish. This is good stuff – but not for swigging !
