Cask at Royal Oak, Knaphill. Aroma is sharp - the Juniper- with underlying malts. Opaque gold. Frothy foamy white head. Light-medium bodied. Sharp and tangy. Fruity. Soft carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Nice.

Cask at Horse & Jockey, Penkridge. Pours golden yellow with a sizeable foamy almost white head. Aroma is weak, and a bit of a mix – hints of floral hops, botanicals and berry fruits. In the mouth it has a creamy texture with floral hops again the mainstay, plus.. some underlying malts. Botanical, tonic water and tropical fruits come through later. Slight bitterness in the finish. It’s certainly unusual and quite reasonable.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 10/3/2019. Golden in colour, with a thin, white, head. An easy drinking pale ale, with a touch of citrus hop, vague spiciness, crisp malts and a dryish finish. Fine.

Cask @ Percy Shaw, Halifax. Golden with a creamy head. Its gin notes are evident in its aroma but has a more mildly sweet hoppy taste with a mild spiced kick.

Half-pint, cask, after breakfast at Liberty Bounds (JDW). Filmy layer to a misty golden-brown body, upper part lacing. Slightly spiced fruity aromas. Juniper and ripe fruits to the taste buds, doughy. Short ending of lightly spiced fruits. So and so. (London 22.11.2021).

Bit of a strange one really, pours clear golden with a small frothy white head and light malt on the nose. Light bodied with a fruity/floral taste, some herb character to it, and underlying light biscuit malt
