Bottled. Hazy pale orangeish golden colour, with a small, but longlasting head. Aroma is bready, some slight earth, mild cellar notes as well as some herbal and spicy notes. Flavour is earthy, some bready malts, mild cellar notes as well as some grass, herbs and mild salty notes.

Bottle 500ml. @ home on the terrace. [ As Spalter Zwickl ].[ Trade by Beerhunter111 ]. Unclear matt medium golden yellow color with a average, open and frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, pale malt, moderate hoppy, grass, minerals, fruity. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, green grass, grass, minerals, fruity, hoppy, hop bitter, medium dry, grain notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20140920]

Vom Faß auf dem Fränkischen Bierfest, Nürnberg, 20.6.2014. - Strohgelb, trüb. - Recht milder, hopfenaromatischer Antrunk. Hefe, grasiger Hopfen, leichte Banane. Mild rezent, weich im Mund. - Sehr angenehmes, „rundes“ und süffiges Zwickel, bei dem an gutem Hopfen nicht gespart wurde.

Bottle looks very simple but okay. Beer in the glass zippy, turbid, nice head. Starts malty, mild, but not washy. Some sourish hints, a bit fruity like lemon. Finish well balanced, malty-yeasty. Not bad!

Fast klare hell goldene Farbe, mittelgroße weiße Schaumkrone. Geruch ist grasig hopfig, mild, getreidig. Geschmack ist mild hopfig, grasig, zitronig, gut!

bottle from Edeka Neuendettelsau. Hazy pale yellow, large white head, very persistent. Yeasty-hoppy aroma. Medium-bodied, solid malty base with a yeasty touch, pleasantly hoppy, resiny and slightly grassy, lingering hoppy finish. Very nice.

Bottle. Sweet barley malt and hay aroma. Cloudy pale yellow with a large white head and nice lacing. Slightly sweet barley malt and light lemongrass and pepper flavor. Nice body. Tasty - very spicy for a Zwickel.

(bottle) Cloudy, yellow colour with a big foamy white head. Yeasty and moderately sweet grainy malty aroma with notes of white bread, backed by a touch of citrus and herbal hops. Mildly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Soft and yeasty pale malty base with subtle notes of citrus and herbal accents; moderately sweet malty and spivy yeasty finish with a good dash of herbal hops and a mildly grainy aftertaste. Hoppy and well-rounded Zwickel. 27.X.10
