May ’15. A 0.33 l bottle at the brewpub. It poured hazy dark brown body with medium sized, accordingly colored head. Grainy, rye bread, coffee and roasted sugar aroma. Lightly cinous, especially in flavor which was lightly sour and lightly bitter from the roasted malts. Sweetness like caramel came later. A bit of licorice, too. Medium bodied with medium to long finish, bittersweet. Somehow messy, although pretty enjoyable porter with a couple of heavy "Baltic" characteristics.

Bottle. Black, low brown head. Dark chocolate and cherry aroma. Berry sweetness on the front of the palate, roast, round chocolate, light salty rye edges in the finish. Medium light body, light chocolate creaminess. Quite drinkable and moreish.

330ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting and lacing, off-white to beige head. Grainy aroma, hints of dark bread, a sweet-ish touch of treacle and coffee surrogate. Taste is sweet caramel malty, hints of malt lozenge, a cautious touch of rye spiciness. Very simple, neither depth nor richness. Poor attempt.

Bottle, courtesy of SinH4. Murky color, typical sweet porter roast aromas, yet all not really exciting.

Brown color with beige head. Aroma is dark fruits, bread, some dark malts. Taste is spicy, weird dark fruits, some off aromas (vegetable?). Silky mouthfeel. Aroma is fine, but the taste is a mess.

Bouteille:Hazy, deep chestnut-amber coloured, smaller, lacy tanned head; sweetish toasty-caramelly nose, dried berries and a port-vinous illusion in the background; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, medium to full bodied; sweet-sourish caramelly-toasty finish, both a little bitterness and a little acidity in the aftertaste. On the sweet side, but still good…

Tenacious cream head over dark-brown beer. Alcoholnose, as a fortified wine (port?), and roasted malts. Roasted, bit soapy, sweet and roasted malts. Medium bodied, rather slick. Not bad, certainly not stellar. Again towards the sweet side.
