Let's See How Many Brew York Taproom Beers I Can Get Through Before The Train Home, Beer#7. The first of a tray of four which couldn't be more blueberry cake if it tried, and shames most supermarkets who sell this product in terms of taste. That said its aroma is particularly light as per the aforementioned, and you'll probably only want to order one example otherwise it would get overbearing. Dark but not black and sticky-sweet in texture and its strength is evident.

Keg at Brewdog Shepherds Bush, London. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Sweet, chocolate, caramel, blueberry taste/aroma. Pleasant enough stout but I was expecting something better.

On keg at Brewdog Lothian Road. Appearance - deep brown to black and opaque. Crema head. Nose - cakey for sure, and you can find berries or raisins if you look. All enveloped in creamy milk chocolate. Taste - chocolate and fruit cake. Palate - creamy textured and medium bodied. Sweet finish. Overall - a bit sweeter than I prefer but that's what the style is all about.

Draught, 1/3 pint on a sample tray BrewDog Cambridge. Reddish-beige head over a near-black body, solid lacing. Inviting smell of berry skins, mid-sweet. Blue- and black berry flavours on a rather sweet malty backbone. Mid-sweet muffin aftertaste. Rounded and mouth filling. Not bad at all. (Cambridge 14.11.2021).
