Black appearance, medium dark brown head. Aroma coffee and dried fruit. Strong and spicy. Some alcohol and spicy feeling in aftertaste. Chocolate, coffee and dried fruit in taste. From first touch there is roastiness present. Sweetness is behind. Wonderful balanced, moderate bodied. Very good.

Can, 0.5l. Black pour, two finger creamy brown head. Long lasting, excellent head retention, sticky lacing on the glass. Very nice on the nose, roasty, wood notes, liquor, dried fruits, cocoa. Full body, soft carbonation. Thick and creamy mouthfeel, oily texture, chewy. Roasty bittersweet taste. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, cocoa and coffee. Dried fruits, raisins, figs. Wooden barrels, liquor, some coal. Relatively strong alcohol presence. Subtle burn, nicely warming. Long lasting finish, boozy and dry. Damn fine.

Can, huge thanks Ana J. for the gift! Pitch black, inky body, traces of a thick brownish head. Chocolate cake notes first, oily maltiness, fair alcohol kick, vague vague red wine touches, soft, full, nice - only detractor is a light, light green apple touch that pops up here and there, but thankfully not all the time. Leaner, drier taste than expected, but becomes more silky as it warms. Roast followed by chocolate cake and carob before settling again into a roasty finish, light boozy, alcoholic touches. Vague wood in the finish as just about the only trace of the (2 times already reused) barrel.

0.5 l can shared with PBF_pivica and Marko. Oily dark brown, small brownish head. Oak at first, coffee beans, cocoa and roasted nuts. A soft touch of tart fruit. Caramel, a spicy touch. Opens up to a milk chocolate or dark chocolate. Some alcohol, some dried fruit. Green apple and grated carrot touch. Smooth, roasty, sticky, slimy, slightly sweet, roasty bitterness, vanilla. Alcohol present on the nose, hidden in the flavour. Savoury, medium to full body. Light to moderate spicy finish with heaps of dark chocolate and coffee sediment. Warming.
