Stranger in the Alps is an Alpine Lager brewed in collaboration with Threes Brewing (Brooklyn, NY). We set out to brew a beer that tasted like the way the air at the top of a mountain smells. The result is a crispy pale lager brewed with noble hops, foraged spruce tips from Duluth, and lemon balm. Nuanced but quaffable, lemony and bright, it enlivens the spirit much like a breath of mountain air.

Tap @MBCC 2021, Green Session. Clear golden, white head. Sweet malty aroma. Similiar flavour, some spice, hay, light licorice perhaps.

Draught sample at MBCC 2021. Clear golden colour with a thin, white head. Aroma and flavour with citrus, pines, spruce, honey and a grassy bitterness. Fine Pils.

MBCC. Clear yellow with a small white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, hay, citrus and moderate hoppy - citrus. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 231021

On tap at Fair State. Clear gold color. Immediately pine in the aroma. The hops are crisp, some lemon flavor, and very dry through the finish.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear light gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has grass, straw and light spruce with a bit of lemon underlying. Flavor has grass and sweet straw with a touch of lemon and spruce backing.
