Imperial Stout brewed with honey and lactose and aged in bourbon barrels.
After aging in bourbon barrels for 14 months, Abandon the Halogens packs heavy notes of nutty chocolate and perfectly toasted marshmallows. Brewed with an exorbitant amount of Northwestern Meadowfoam honey and the gentlest sprinkle of smoked malt, this decadent stout pairs best with a roaring fire on a cool evening.

Bottle shared at CBJ / big thanks to Dave! Pours black-brown with a small, creamy tan head. Medium to big sweet flavour with rounded dark malts, some toffee, dates, figs, raisins. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet, lightly warming finish, more stewed semi-dark fruits, toasted barrel. Great stuff.

Bottleshare at Craft Beer Junction. Thanks to Wingman for the bottle. Opaque dark brown beer, teeny tiny pale tan head. Smooth and slightly viscous palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, a good dark chocolate vibe. Dark chocolate liqueur and bourbon soaked fruits. Soft finish. Lovely and rich.

375mL bottle, courtesy of phaleslu (thanks, Peter!), pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out medium roast, some bourbon barrels, and subdued added sugars (lactose and honey in a sort of muddled way). Flavour is on the sweet side, with plenty of lactose and honey upfront, accentuated by bourbon barrels, marshmallows, and cocoa. Not the most complex of Jackie O's BA stouts, but it's integrated well as usual and very competently made. Excellent.
