The same can be said for the hop variety with the same name. It's a hop with rather unique characteristics. Nothing bold and forward, but just as the Sasquatch it hides itself subtly between the malt flavors, only to appear when you expect it the least.
Based on a wild Canadian variety first found in Pemberton, British Columbia, Sasquatch is Canada's first homegrown hop plant. It's a hop with orange, tea, lemon citrus notes. One of the main reasons it was called Sasquatch is due to the rugged mountain terrain that it was found in as well as the massive hop cones that Sasquatch produces.
This single hop beer is brewed as a tribute to the road trip we did through British Columbia in 2021.

Pours a fairly clear, darker blonde. Small to very small white head. Scent is very refined, complex, grassy, tea elements even. Taste is very fine, green, grassy, complex, tea , bit tropical . Dank. Almost a hint of smokyness in the finish ( just a hint ! ) . Mild bitterness. Not bad at all ! interesting, very refined IPA. Not a smack-in-the-face as is popular and loved by many (including me) anno 2021 , but more of a fine, complex yet easy drinker.

17/XII/21 - 33cl bottle from Beerlovers Bar (Antwerpen), shared @ 77ship & Eve’s place, BB: 2/II/22 (2021-1582)
Clear orange beer, practically no head, unstable, dissipates quickly. Aroma: medicinal impression, orange peel, malty, some grains. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: malty start, some citrus notes, bit of grapefruit, lots of orange peel, hoppy bitterness. Aftertaste: dry, bit medicinal, nice bitterness, fruity touch, lots of caramel, malty. Definitely not what I was expecting...
Nice! ... Wild hops from Canada. Complex and full of taste for 6,5%abv
